Yongnuo YN685 – Yongnuo has finally announced YN685 flash speedlite for Nikon cameras. Yongnuo YN685N is the first Yongnuo flash for Nikon system with YN622N radio receiver built-in.

The YN685 is a fully featured on-camera i-TTL flash speedlite, as well as providing Radio Slave Modes for both the Yongnuo YN622N and RF-603 / YN560 radio systems. This is the top of the line flash speedlite for Nikon system. Yongnuo YN685 will be an ideal upgrade if you need additional light and you are already using or investing into YN622N system. You will save because you do not need additional YN622N II trigger and also you do not need additional AA batteries. With 60 guide number this is one of the most powerful flashes from Yongnuo and also on the market at the moment. A great alternative to Nikon SB910/SB700 speedlites.

Yongnuo YN685 extended display mode – YN685N doesn’t directly provide any radio master functions, but when mounted on top of a YN622N II transmitter, the YN685 can be set to Extended Display mode, where the flash provides a more convenient control panel and LCD display for the YN-622N II transmitter.

Yongnuo YN685 provides a HV Battery Port (Canon Style) for attaching external high voltage battery packs, as well as a PC Sync Port.

There is no USB port provided, though firmware updates are still possible via Yongnuo YN622N II transceivers.
